To mount the hook please follow these tips (and absolutely not meant to insult in any way), * Make sure the area you plan to stick the hook is clean and dry. Typical shower residue (soap residue, conditioner splatter, moisture, etc.) will impede the adhesion of the hook. * Clean the surface with isopropyl rubbing alcohol, wipe gently, let dry. Do not use household cleaners. Many household cleaners leave behind a very thin layer of residue that affects how strongly the adhesive will bond to the surface. * Once you have cleaned to area you plan to stick the mirror, please allow enough time for this area to completely dry (remember tile is porous and will absorb moisture). This is the main reason that a hook will fail to adhere. As such, please wait a couple of hours after cleaning the wall to place the hook.* When applying the hook to your shower, please try applying constant pressure on it for 10-15 seconds in the clean, dry spot. * For best results, let the adhesive "set" for 24 hours before hanging the mirror on the hook. STEP 1: CLEAN SURFACE

Make sure to thoroughly clean surface to remove any dirt. After cleaning, dry the surface with a dry towel. See above for recommended surfaces (the smoother the surface the better the suction cup will stick).

STEP 2: PUT IN PLACE

Lightly wet the bottom of the suction cup to create a good seal. Make sure the suction is set to the unlocked position. Then, put it in the desired location. The suction cup might not stick right away so keep constant pressure on it until the next step.

STEP 3: LOCK SUCTION CUP

While applying pressure, lock the suction cup in place by rotating the white ring around the base clockwise. If the mirror does not stick then try again carefully cleaning the surface and applying more pressure when locking. Over time the suction cup will slowly let air back in, just give it a good push every once in a while to keep it in place.

REMOVING

Removal is even simpler. Simply untwist the lock by rotating the white ring counter-clockwise. The suction cup should fall off by itself. However, if it doesn't, then simply pull it off by pulling on the small tab on the top.

Answer:	Yes - I’m not sure if it’s a random batch issue, or if it’s a property of the reflective material they’re using instead of glass - but I just got mine a few days ago and it’s clearly a little distorted vs. a real mirror. It’s 100% fine for me to get a quick look of my face in the shower and to touch up the edges of my beard. But I wouldn’t recommend using it to *establish* any straight edges.

Answer:	I suppose you could - I don't see why not. There would (obviously) be a seem in the middle, if that makes a difference to you. It's definitely a good mirror and does what it says in terms of anti-fog.

Answer:	The overall product is made of plastic - and I doubt that a baby could crack it so as to cause harm. What I can't speak to is the oral safety (toxicity) - as the mirrored surface is a coating on the backside of the plastic and it is then coated over with another coating.

Question:	My biggest problem with previous brands of fog free mirrors is that they fall off the wall...adhesives and suctions. How does this one hold up
Answer:	I have had no issues with the adhesive hook at all. It is about half a square foot to the bottom right of my shower head. So water doesn't spray on it but it definitely gets on it when I rinse the mirror to get the temp to adjust and defog.The only issue I have is its not reusable so you need to be sure of where you want it. I bought suction cups too to be able to move it sometimes. The suction cups I bought don't hold the mirror because of the condensation and temp change in the air. But thats my fault for thinking they would work. The hook is as good as a 3M adhesive hook for anywhere in the home. Reliable.

Answer:	I would say as close as it can. Keep in mind that any mirror in the shower will collect water drops and will require some wipe down. I have had this for several months and wish I had known about it sooner. This is a no-brainer when it comes to travel and still wanting to shave in the shower.

Answer:	About 4" x 6", which is large enough for me to shave in the shower without any issues. Just make sure to run both sides under the water if you're taking a hot shower first otherwise it'll fog up.

Answer:	The color shade is the same but some people prefer the L'Oreal Excellence to Preference or viceversa. It seems that Excellence is marketed to those who wish to cover gray, and is more conservative in their color line. The Excellence is also a cream formula (the color comes in a tube instead of a liquid in a bottle the way the Preference does), so it's a bit less drippy. But for myself, I prefer the Preference on account of the more vibrant colors.

Answer:	I would consider it permanent as it does not wash out after one shampooing. It will gradually get somewhat lighter after many, many times being shampooed also spending a lot of time in the sun will also cause it to lighten some. I apply a new application about every eight weeks because of the different color of the roots as my hair grows out. I am about 50% gray any the other 59% brown. It covers gray beautifully and has a very rich color to it.

Conversely You can just spray the whole thing with warm water for a little while right before you use it and it stays relatively clear long enough for a quick shave.
