Question:	is it a self tanner or just tanning losion
Answer:	Actually says "self acting bronzers" with the product description. What do you think that mean? The color you are getting is, in most part, from a "self tanner". Your skin is not prepped for the real sun like you think. It is dye on your skin and you will burn outside as if you had no tan at all if you're not careful. Most of these products have bronzers or "sunless tanning properties.
Question:	I tan regularly at least 2 to 3 times a week. Have a decent color. Will this make me orange
Answer:	If you are fairly dark, then no. But if you are still on the lighter side, it is an orangey brown. Not the traditional orange. Just be sure to apply evenly and wash your hands before you tan.
Question:	I am in love with the purple smoke (but for some reason it has started to make me itch the last few bottles), how is this in comparison to it
Answer:	Because the Smoke Platinum Black (in a purple container) is not a "tingle" lotion, it should not leave the skin feeling this way. Easy answer (I'm not a Dr.) would be dry skin. The most common illusion is; bronzers have made the skin appear more tan ('tan' equating to the skins natural protection) than it is thus one will spend more unprotected time in the sun. Bronzed skin and tanned skin are two different processes that have a similarly visual outcome. Skin can easily become very dry and/or damaged for this reason. Bronzers do not protect the skin. I would suggest the Supre Hempz UV protection spf 15 - 30 for daily use. I love this stuff. It is very water resistant, smells fabulous, not greasy and PABA free. I use it on my highly sensitive skin- including my face! Remember: healthy skin tans far better than dry, unhealthy skin.

Bronzers alone are designed to topically add color to your skin and therefore produce only temporary results. In many tan maximizers, bronzers are added to provide instant color. The effects of tan maximizers are not immediate, and some work better than others. While tyrosinase in the body is responsible for starting the production of melanin, the topical use of the enzyme through lotions has yet to show sound evidence of its effectiveness. DHA and erythrulose are reliably effective in darkening the top layer of skin.
