Answer:	It won't hurt your gems or gold. If you don't put your silver in your box, you might as well not put the Hagerty strip in the box because it's a protection for silver. It retards tarnish on silver.

Answer:	You can put the strip in a plastic bag with the jewelry. If the jewelry is in a drawer or a jewelry box you can just put the strip in the drawer or box. These definitely work and they do last a long time.

Answer:	I can only speak to my use of the strips and they have been very successful. I have one strip in a two tiered jewelry box that is 12” by 8” by 4” deep. It keeps the silver shiny. I have a silver flat wear chest that is 23” by 14” by 3 1/2” and it too has one strip in it. I never have to polish my silver. They are amazing.

Answer:	Recoiled: it is in a "U" shape as it is attached to my net and the magnet on my vest, and is about 6 inches. When extended it is probably capable of stretching 8 feet, so a lot longer than you'll ever be able to reach. I have plenty of extension with the tether attached to the middle of my back, and my arm fully extended in front of me. ( a size 36" inch sleeve length, is what I usually wear).
