Answer:	I would say yes and no. You can spray oil based paint and that is flammable. It is made of plastic and has an electric motor with air vents for the motor. Motors do spark as they run. Probably just for paint products only

Answer:	The TC is a powerful sprayer and will accommodate most paints without thinning... it also depends on the viscosity of the specific paint, (which varies tremendously), and which tip size you have... Their website and user manual has a couple charts to help find right combination... I recommend getting a viscosity tester or gage...
