Answer:	No, it's not tested on animals - the emus are simply killed to make this bogus product!There is not one legitimate shred of scientific, biologic evidence that emu oil does anything for any condition whatsoever. Emu oil is actually very close to human sebum and, hence, our skins will easily absorb and process it. It contains essential fatty acids: linolenic, linoleic, oleic, and palmitic. Linolenic (omega-3 EFA) and linoleic (omega-6 EFA). Oleic is a known to have some anti-inflammatory properties, but do a lot of other oils. If you think it is the emu oil ingredient that is helping you, it is far more likely other ingredients in the composition that are doing the improvement. Psychosomatic suggestion also creates a positive impression when no actual medicinal effect has occurred. I spend a lot of time working in my garden and yard and get a lot of sun exposure. I lather up before I go outside and after I get back inside and washed up. I have not yet been sun burned. I have used Emu Oil for probably about 20 years. One time I (stupidly) grabbed the handle of a pan I had had in the oven and immediately iced my burned hand until the burning stopped, then IMMEDIATELY loaded my hand with Emu Oil--several times--and I did NOT end up with burn damage--or pain, to my skin. My thoughts are that since Emu Oil is suppose to be similar to our own body oil, if we replace what the sun (or oven-hot pans) burns (which is our skin's body oil), fast enough that the heat doesn't get to damage our skin's body's oil, we have prevented the burn.
