Answer:	Both are quality built. Own both. First got and shaved with the Godfather. It's suppose to be more gentle on my 78yr old wrinkled skin. Previously been using the inexpensive Feather RE about $13. Using the included blade the Godfather cut me barely in many places. Not for me! Seriously trying to figure out why the cheaper Feather seldom to no cuts. Compared the blade space below to the guard bridge on Feather and Godfather. Big difference, Godfather much bigger gap. Just received the Chieftain. Compared to Godfather much narrower and similar to the Feather. IMHO, the Godfather butchered me. The Chieftain looks good. When my face heals I will cautiously try it. Until then the electric will have to do. It almost seems I got a defective Godfather of the blade was narrower, yes, it seems unlikely. BTW, I do not like the weight or bigger handle on the Godfather. Both tend to disallow light smooth handling! Others, likely, will disagree but that is my experience. Happy Trails

Answer:	I just purchased mine. As of 2020, this model Chieftan is different from the BAILI bd179. It's 10 grams heavier, has a thicker base plate, and has 4 lather holes on each side rather than 2 oblong ones. That's not to discount the BAILI at all. I just preferred the heftiness of the Viking. And you can get the "Odin Obsidian Black and Gold" for just a few dollars more as it's currently on sale.

Question:	how does this compare to the merkur razor
Answer:	Compared to the Merkur 34C, the Chieftain BC seems to have a little more blade presentation, but I've liked the Merkur from the start and I like this a lot too. Frankly both have a good size and weight and both are easy to handle. Both have really secure heads with heaviness compared to some others. I have a Van Der Hagen butterfly model and I like that too, but it tends to be a little more problematic and has a head which isn't as heavy as the former two.

Answer:	Super precise , not sure if anyone can answer that. They seem to be standard size. Just buy then if they don't work for your razor just return them. I was worried about fitting as well.

Answer:	I have used double edged blades since I first started shaving in the 1960's. Most blade manufacturers state their blades are lubricated by the coatings they place on the blades to prevent them from snagging on your skin as you shave. Its not a lubricant like oil, but a slippery coating similar to plastic that bonds to the metal for the short duration you use it. I imagine that exposure to water as you shave also makes the blades more "slippery". I have to admit, I have only nicked myself once with these blades and even that was a very small one, so the so-called lubrication must be working.

Answer:	I wouldn't recommend these to my enemy. These were duller than the old blade I was replacing. Also, made in China poor quality.

Answer:	Junk like all the rest coming from China! There are limited ways to produce double edge razor blades and these are comparable to most competitors. Many younger people think if it says Japan, it’s got to be quality and this is a falsehood as most products were sourced and manufactured in Japan (same junk quality as China) but then companies started sourcing manufacturing to China because they got a cheaper deal. The bottom line is that most products designed today are created with a very limited lifespan in mind as this keeps consumers coming back for more and more. Junk is junk. . . . . A lot of companies will even advertise American in their advertising but when you dig deeper you will see that the product, parts etc., are made in Chine and shipped to America for the American company to put it in a box, hence the term American products. Very misleading industry today, it’s better to just stop spending, these companies are soaking every penny out of Americans and that is a clear indication that most consumers are simply uninformed.

Answer:	I would like to counter what Susan said, in that, I put one of the sharpest blades (Feather, Astra) in this razor and I did get cut regularly. To prevent cuts, I really had to focus on holding the razor at the right angle. The less sharp blades didn't cut me up as much. This is face shaving, so maybe it works differently from whatever (legs, maybe) kind of shaving Susan has experience with.

Question:	I shave my head and face. How often do you have to replace handle and cartridges? How many shaves do they last
Answer:	I shave my face 5 days a week, and head usually every other day. At this rate, the blades should easily last you 2-3 weeks. By the way, this is the best razor I have found to shave my head, and I've been doing this for about 6 years.
Question:	How does this compare to Walmart's equate 5 blade cartridges
Answer:	It doesn't. If you try them, you'll see that it's like comparing a Rolls Royce to a Pinto. I have used the equate 5 blade and they feel so flimsy in my hand. I'm a woman, but I only use men's razors, apparently they think is little ladies can't be trusted around sharp things because they always encase women's razors in safety wire perpendicular to the blades. It's maddening and results in a less close shave. I've tried just about all of the men's razors in my search for the perfect shave. Mach 3 was my go to for a long time, then they started 4 & 5 blades and when I tried this, it was over. I won't say it's perfect, but I haven't switched on 4 years, so for right now, until technology blows !y mind with so.e new conceptnrazor, this is as close as it gets for me! I hate the way the equate would feel around my knees, where there are lots of awkward angles and raised terrain. I have to be REALLY careless to cut myself with these Flex 5 even though they're proper sharp, but I'd get nicks all the time with equate. I know shaving a face is something to be traversed similar to a knee in awkward, non-straightforward angles, so I imagine you'd appreciate the sturdy, weighted feel these provide as well. Go to where you get your equate, right now during the holidays you can get a pack of flex 5 with 2 handles and 12 cartridges for 9.88!!!!! Nope not a typo. Or if you prefer they have one with 8 cartridges that's the same but titanium coated flex 5 blades also 9.88. IF I've tried the titanium ones, I didn't find them any different from the regular ones, if that helps. I'd much prefer 4 extra cartridges. Trust me, you won't be stuck with 11 cartridges you don't like!! I'm devastated they haven't been able to restock my subscription of these! I was getting 8 refills for 12 bucks once a month, but they went out of stock on August from fulfilled by Amazon and haven't managed to get them back. I'll be damned if I'm changing to the same amount for $22 from another seller. I'm just going to stock up like crazy at the equate buying place during the holidays and hopefully get a years worth over the next few weeks.

Answer:	I haven't tried the weishi blades although I do have a weishi razor. The Bic blades work we for me as well as the Personna and especially the Feather blades. I am still working on my trial pack. No bad ones yet. Maggards razors have the Biali razors for about $6.50 nice cheap razor as well a little more aggressive than the weishi. ymmv
Question:	How did you go about sampling, did you dive in, alphabetically or what you thought was smoothest to sharpest Thx
Answer:	I did some research, prior to ordering this pack. I read numerous reviews on-line, and watched several videos on You Tube. Then, I ordered this sample pack. I began with the more anonymous ones...ones I didn't really find any significant reviews for. After doing that with five or six such blades, then yeah, I dove in head first with the ones that were reviewed well. The best reviewed blade I've read about is Astra. That was the Number One choice for several people. Feather was considered excellent, but extremely sharp. I have not tried the Astra blade yet. I'm saving it for later. By the way...normally, I'd use one blade per week. You can get four shaves out of a blade easily. I would use these sample pack blades twice, then move on. This sample pack was so low-cost, you can no doubt well afford to go through them quickly, to determine what you like the best.
Question:	Just received..is their a particular order to use? IE...Feather seems to be the sharpest and should try last
Answer:	Honestly I have not tried them all yet . Of what I have tried , Merkur is very close in sharpness to feather . Wilkinson Sword is as or sharper than feather . The Shark blades are average at best . Keep in mind sharper is not always better , with sharper comes more possibilities of cuts and razor burn . I have found that Sputnik works best for me , it is not included in this set . It is available on Amazon $18 for 100 or better yet $13 for 100 from this clubs website .
Question:	What’s the best one
Answer:	I'd have to say Polsilver is probably the one I'd rate the highest in terms of overall quality because it's pretty sharp and also fairly smooth, was fairly durable, and gave me no nicks or irritation. However, it's actually sharper than what I need personally to get a down to the skin shave (meaning I am not getting any closer with a very sharp blade like Polsilver than a moderately sharp blade like Personna or Voskhod), so I bought 100 Voskhod blades for personal daily use at less than 1/5th the cost per blade, and they're also even a bit smoother. Find the level of sharpness that is able to cut through your facial hair easily (Derby and Shark just weren't sharp enough for me, but I don't need light saber sharp Feather against my face, either) then from there identify the razor of that needed level of sharpness that doesn't irritate your skin or give you nicks. Astra SP is popular for being both sharp and cheap, but unfortunately I noticed it left my skin mildly irritated with daily use. Polsilver and Gillette Platinum both gave me very close shaves with no irritation or nicks, but they were also sharper than what I needed and much more expensive than the less sharp and smoother Voskhod, which had no drawbacks with my facial hair and skin. There really isn't a "best" for everyone because the coarseness of one's hair and sensitivity of one's skin will differ by individual. Personna Blue might be a good place to start given it's close to the middle in terms of sharpness and smoothness. You can move up or down in sharpness from there depending on your results.
