Question:	Is it possible to open the center blade for cleaning
Answer:	To be honest 200*F is enough to burn off your hair. I use a little coconut oil for two reasons. First, Coconut oil has a 400*F smoke point and it will protect your hair fro burning at 200*. Second it will coat and seal your hair leaving it softer. Just remember you hair must be dry. Or shower the night before. Coconut oil is solid at roo temperature so if you get hot you may melt/sweat oil. Use sparingly. A fancy beard oil could work too but will cost so much more and many Contain coconut oil.
Question:	How often should I clean the head
Answer:	No, it doesn't damage my beard at all. With this beard straightener brush, my ends don't feel singed or like my beard was crushed together. It makes my beard smooth and natural without the frizz, i am pleased with the results.
