The pearwood timber waits up to 8 weeks before being cut and then milled into brush handles. Each board checked for impurities or possible cracks.

Question:	The handle is pear wood but what oil or paint or varnish do they use to treat the wood
Answer:	Definitely not a paint or an epoxy. It also doesn't look like a shellac or a varnish. If anything, it appears to be some sort of drying oil. I would assume Tung oil since it isn't glossy, but don't quote me on it. Regardless, I've had mine for over a year and the wood has held up beautifully.
Question:	Can this brush get wet
Answer:	This is an excellent brush, but I tried to get rid of a beard conditioner smell that my wife didn't like, and tried washing the brush. The result was a wet pig smell that persisted until it dried. I had to put the brush in a window so the sun could help dry it. Avoid getting it wet. It still works good as new when dry. A little wet such as brushing after a shower works fine.
Question:	Are the bristles 'first cut' or 'second cut'? Is the brush 2.5" wide as top description states, or 1/8" wide as bottom description states
Answer:	The bristles are definitely 2nd cut. It is 2.5 inches wide.

Answer:	First cut is closer to the skin of the boar, so the bristles are thicker and firmer. Second cut is further down the length of the boar hair and is softer and thinner.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. Use a fine toothed comb to brush through the bristles outwards to dislodge dust, hair and sebum/product build-up. Fill a small container with warm water. Add a blob of mild shampoo (or shover gel) in the container. Dip the bristles in the water (not the handle). Shake/swirl the brush around until you feel good about the shampoo cleanse, run the brush under warm water to rinse clean and allow to air dry.
