Answer:	Works fine without shave cream, but for thick stubble I’d recommend massaging oil into wet beard (doesn’t take much) then apply foam shaving cream.

Answer:	Personally from my experience the thing that prevents ingrown hairs and itches is a good razor and a good preshave oil and a shaving cream that won’t dry out your skin. I use a safety razor, it’s better for the skin with the single blade (also cheaper than the multi blade razors today) really any type of preshave oil not even this and a shaving cream that will moisturize the skin. Hope this helps! Mostly it’s just a change of razor that helps. Max of 10 shaves per blade.

Answer:	No definitely not. The pre-shave oil is just to lubricate the skin so the blade will glide easier on the skin. It's the combination of both the oil and the shaving cream to get a decent shave even if you don't clean shave. What I do is put both oil and cream on my face and if I need to see my beard lines just wipe a little shave cream off of your face to see them. If you consistently put just oil on your face your skin will breakout among other things. The cream is there to moisturize the skin and to further give you a good shave, not just the oil. If you're not clean shaving you only need a little bit of cream and oil and it's better for your skin :)

Answer:	There's no reason you shouldn't be able to. This works on the skin and hair to get them ready for shaving. I've used pre-shave oils like this with an electric razor and it's still been helpful, and didn't mess with the razor.

Answer:	It doesn't appear to be from my use of it. It is oil and has that texture so I do not think it would be ... that being said you can apply your shave cream/soap over top of it and the razor glides right through it. I see a difference using it compared to not using it. It also cleans off well after your shave pass with warm water and does not leave an oily feel.

Answer:	Assuming you mean can you put the oil on your face and shave with a straight razor, no reason that would not work.

If I do that extensive a shave I do it in sections, lower leg and then upper leg and use 3 drops per area but I'm sure a lot don't need to do that.

Answer:	Its really a pre-shave. You wet your beard with hot water, put this oil in your hands then rub it into your whiskers, Then you apply your shave cream. I use Nivea, non aerosol shave cream. I will switch to a Badger shave brush and shave cream solid puck after the Nivea's gone. This Alonso's shave oil is THE BEST EVER.
