So, using a slightly oversized roaster (3 quart) has been done by some Sunflair-ers. It's not designed for it, looks a bit stuffed, but works if that or something similar is your intent.

Answer:	Hello, Thank you for your question. We include the rectangular plate so the food will be elevated off the floor of the oven which will result in more even cooking. It serves the same purpose as an oven rack in a regular kitchen oven. We do not recommend cooking with the pot resting directly on the floor of the oven.
