Answer:	I found the brush to be an authentic sigma. I love the brush. It does exactly what I need it to do and I have washed it several times and have yet to lose a single strand. If you are nervous, order directly from sigma or do a little research on the company selling the brush. I will also mention SOME of the one star reviews I have read mention using the brush for something it is not made for. This is a blending brush...it is not as soft as others but that is because it is not dense like a concealer brush or a brush used for your eyelids specifically. It is not supposed to be used for packing on color or concealer. It is big and fluffy for BLENDING in your crease and when you use it, the brushes are supposed to spread out during use to really buff out shadows and eliminating harsh lines. If you are looking for something to pack on dramatic, dense color...try the E55.

But this brush is for the lighter color you'll use, then go into the crease with the sigma E45 with your darker color!
