Answer:	Thesesoles are not like the old wooden soles. The soles are made of a synthetic rubber type of material so there is no loud sound as you walk. Yes the grip is good as long as the floor is not wet.

Answer:	It is Velcro. This is my 4th pair of Dr Scholls sandals all the rest were adjustable buckle except this one. And I prefer it actually coz its easier to adjust.

Answer:	I found the man made foot bed uncomfortable as compared to the original wooden ones. I found these too be very light and the edges felt sharp unlike the wooden ones. Also there is no toe bump on the man made foot bed which basically defeats the purpose of a Dr. Scholl's exercise sandal. Driving would be fine, but I did not find them comfortable for long term wear or even short walks.
