Answer:	I haven’t tried it in a hot tub but I use pretty warm water in the tub with it and bath salts plus the soaps, shampoo and conditioner. It comes with a bag for laundering it and they recommend weekly washing. I think it would be fine.

Answer:	The pillow is not encased in waterproof material. The pillow absorbs water. I squeeze mine after a bath and put it in a rack in the shower to dry out. I have a very soft but rubber shower mat and i actually put my bath bed over that, which means i can't put the suction cups down on both sides but it stays in place with only the suction cups stuck to the tub on one side. After the bath, which has dead sea salt i it, i role up the bath bed and put it in my sink, while i turn the shower on, and rinse off. I prefer to stand on the mat instead of on the plain shower floor, so i thought about whether i could stand on the bath bed and am sure it would not be good for it, nor would it really feel like a bath mat. (my bath mat is the whole length of the tub too. If i had a regular sized shower mat, i could put my bath bed over it and put the suction cups on both sides down, at the top and bottom of the mat.
