Leaky tank valve, even the new WP-100s have a defective tank valve (it doesn't fall down when the tank is removed, therefore the tank dribbles when removed for refill. This problem remains even with new valve inserts (which i obtained from Waterpik's wonderful service). The fix, although slightly annoying, is to take the handle of your toothbrush and gently press down on the valve during the lift off process. You can then discontinue the toothbrush, and refill and reseat the tank, without dribbles occuring. Just grin and bear it. Also, you will need to purchase replacement angled wands because the tip will become junky and can't be cleaned. |
