So, I apply 110 sunscreen (gently, let it dry for a few mins) then dab under eye concealer, gently rub that in, then apply FIT me shade 122 over that. Then I proceed to add blush, eye liner, eye shadow and mascara. I usually do not need to reapply powder unless I work-out later in the day. Good luck!

I've tried various discount drug store brands' sponges and was never happy with the poor quality. These KOOBA sponges here at Amazon are the only ones I buy. I hope that can help you.
