Answer:	It's about 12 inches. However, I wouldn't recommend it. I bought it and spent a little more for a better quality arm rest. The bar was bent so it's kind of crooked. And the screw at the bottom loosens and makes it super wobbly. Disappointed but but too much trouble to return it and all that.
