Answer:	No you cannot!!! Despite being clearly labelled as working OK with "120-250V" outlets, this is not the case. While on vacation in Europe my wife plugged it in to an outlet and it began sparking and almost caught on fire. Most regular sized irons are 11 to 12 inches. This is called a mini iron. This is from the drop down menu below the regular iron. Question:	Does it work well on African American or mixed curly hair
Answer:	I've had this flat iron for 5 or 6 years, I've used it for maybe about 3 of those years where my hair was a mix of natural and permed, and YES it works very well on African American hair. There is a heat controlled setting on this flat iron. So, to the person that states it's too hot and breaks an AA's hair off, first of all, not all AA's hair is the same. My hair requires a greater amount of heat to straighten. Second, I don't think they are using the setting correctly because the heat setting can be controlled. It will fry anyone's hair (fabrics, clothing, etc.) on the highest setting, which I believe is 450 deg. I keep it right around 410 deg. I use this to achieve very straight styles (or right after a shampoo and blow dry) and my mini for daily use. I also use this with a thermal protector like Mizani thermal protector. I also use to use this with the Mizani's Gloss Veil when until they stopped making it. Make a long story short, it can get very hot, but don't use it on it's highest setting.
Question:	what is the difference between the 3rd generation and regular iron
Answer:	I believe the only difference is that the 3rd generation has slightly longer plates than the regular iron. Neither of these flat irons are of the current generation, which is why they're being sold so cheaply. I think they must be a few years old, because if you look at the current 1-inch flat iron on HSI's website, it's slightly different and costs quite a bit more. That said, I bought the regular iron here and I could not be happier with it. It's everything I wanted. I can curl or straighten my hair, it doesn't burn, the temperature can be adjusted so easily. My only warning is that it doesn't have an automatic turn-off, so you need to be someone who can always remember to turn it off or unplug it.

Answer:	Hello, it's a "hair straightener", so it's straightens the hair! Cord won't "curl" as well! I never tried to curl my hair with it! For "curling the hair" look for a different product!

Answer:	I have very thick, textured hair, somewhere in the 3c to 4b category, and it worked wonderfully! I agree, it is not easily cleaned, but I was able to pull out long strands of hair by hand. But if you have a soft, long-bristled brush (maybe something like a paint brush) you can probably use that to brush out any left-over debris.
Question:	does it work for really curly hair like natural curly hair?? does it not damage my hair after using it
Answer:	Yes,it does. I am black with natural hair and it does a wonderful job straightening it. My daughter is biracial with very long and very curly hair and this has been the best product for her hair. Question:	What is the difference between the xp and the rp maxiglide
Answer:	I just recently completed a 3 months and 1 day wolf. During my hair's longest length I used this brush to lay my hair down in and out of the shower. I'm tender headed so this brush worked very well it's not hard as the diane 8159 which I also have. I haven't been able to use the 8159 as of yet, because as I said earlier I'm tender headed. When I'm wolfing 2 months or longer the diane 9007 is my go to brush.

Answer:	There is an adjustable nob that shows the temperature around the circle, but I honestly don't think you need it. My prior hot iron did not show any temps but had a graphic to show which way to turn the nob to make it hotter. This is even easier.
