Answer:	No you cannot!!! Despite being clearly labelled as working OK with "120-250V" outlets, this is not the case. While on vacation in Europe my wife plugged it in to an outlet and it began sparking and almost caught on fire. This is a clear fire and safety hazard and this product should be pulled from the shelves.

Most regular sized irons are 11 to 12 inches. This is called a mini iron. This is from the drop down menu below the regular iron. It is important to read all the descriptions to know what you are getting.
Question:	Does it work well on African American or mixed curly hair
Answer:	I've had this flat iron for 5 or 6 years, I've used it for maybe about 3 of those years where my hair was a mix of natural and permed, and YES it works very well on African American hair. There is a heat controlled setting on this flat iron. So, to the person that states it's too hot and breaks an AA's hair off, first of all, not all AA's hair is the same. My hair requires a greater amount of heat to straighten. Second, I don't think they are using the setting correctly because the heat setting can be controlled. It will fry anyone's hair (fabrics, clothing, etc.) on the highest setting, which I believe is 450 deg. I keep it right around 410 deg. I use this to achieve very straight styles (or right after a shampoo and blow dry) and my mini for daily use. I also use this with a thermal protector like Mizani thermal protector. I also use to use this with the Mizani's Gloss Veil when until they stopped making it. Make a long story short, it can get very hot, but don't use it on it's highest setting.
Question:	what is the difference between the 3rd generation and regular iron
Answer:	I believe the only difference is that the 3rd generation has slightly longer plates than the regular iron. Neither of these flat irons are of the current generation, which is why they're being sold so cheaply. I think they must be a few years old, because if you look at the current 1-inch flat iron on HSI's website, it's slightly different and costs quite a bit more. That said, I bought the regular iron here and I could not be happier with it. It's everything I wanted. I can curl or straighten my hair, it doesn't burn, the temperature can be adjusted so easily. My only warning is that it doesn't have an automatic turn-off, so you need to be someone who can always remember to turn it off or unplug it.

Answer:	Hi there, conflicted. I've been using this for several months now and absolutely love it! Far superior performance than the Con-Air I had previously. Evenly heats up and so many levels of heat to choose from. For my just above shoulder length hair I use the 370 setting and my hair is done perfectly in under 10 minutes. my hair is really fine but there's quite a bit of it. I don't do anything fancy like beach waves, just simple smooth out, curl under the ends & bangs. I don't use the clips or glove but I assume that someone with longer hair would find those handy. Answer:	I can confirm that I used this product in the UK. All I needed was a 110v to 220v plug adapter and it worked brilliantly overseas for the last 3 years without any issues. The cord for this flat iron is pretty short though, and that was my only issue.

How to Get the Look: Starting at the roots, lightly clamp a small section of hair between the barrels and hold for a few seconds. Style one-inch sections of the hair for natural-looking beach waves, or larger sections for uniform, sculpted waves. Answer:	Of course it will! Make sure you use it hot enough and don’t tug on your hair until it’s completely cooled. To keep the curl in straight hair, you HAVE to use product! Texture spray, hairspray, etc.
Question:	Tips and tricks you've learned while using this
Answer:	For deep tighter waves section your hair into smaller sections, bigger sections of hair for loose light waves. You can also use more or less pressure when you clamp the tool on your hair, for example, I use less pressure and less time when closer to my roots so they don’t get that weird straight line at the top of my head and then as I move down I use more pressure and hold it a few seconds longer. Use a light coat of texture spray before and after and comb through your hair with your fingers to separate the waves and it won’t be frizzy. Use a volumizing power in your roots after so that it doesn't look flat compared to the rest of your hair. I also pull the tool up and away from my scalp when I am at the roots so it gives it a bit of volume.

Answer:	Not sure. They are sturdy though. I am 6’2” and 200 lbs and they do just fine. The “two” seater does not really fit 2 people comfortably.

Answer:	I don't think it is too low when sitting at it, but I'm 5 foot five. Could be that at your height, leaning on it could be uncomfortable. Not sure though. It's a great desk. It's a little over 30 inches high
Question:	Would this work for a beard
Answer:	I don't use it for sewing BUT this is the sturdiest desk I have ever owned. It does not move at all. I would recommend it. It is a little difficult to put together. Mainly the key board slide out. Make sure to put it one first, not last like they say, you have to lay on floor and screw upside down.
Question:	Is there a reason that this is the second time that I received duplicates of the same item? Its not so easy for me
Answer:	I have 2 monitors, a dock station, and crop all on the corner. There is no sag. What you cant see in the picture is the support frames underneath. There are two for each part and run the length of the desk in both directions. I don't think you will see any sag at all.
