Add waves and texture to your hair using the Loose Waves barrel. On every other strand, alternate the direction you wrap the hair around the barrel. Some waves should go away from the face and some should go towards the face.

Step 2: Part & Twist

Part the hair into three sections: two smaller sections in the front that frame the face and a larger section in the back. Pull the large section into a low ponytail and secure with a small elastic. Answer:	Plastic? Not really. Water only comes into contact with plastic when you pour, some of the pieces of the lid are plastic. Water contact with plastic is very brief. Silicone? Harder to say... maybe. It LOOKS like there is a silicone seal in the base of the unit. If so, then water is in contact with it during the heating process. From what I can tell, most common silicone sealants are food safe.
Question:	Does this do a good job at curling your hair
Answer:	I have been considering this and the one touch and from what I remember this does not have any plastic on the inside. Because of that I was leaning toward this one even though I really prefer the one touch due to the advanced function. Unfortunaltly, the steeper basket in the one touch has plastic on it that goes in the water... really?! for $250!!! Hopefully they make an all stainles steel basket in the future

To get looser, more relaxed waves, it’s important to curl larger sections of hair. Depending on how much hair you have will determine how many sections you will curl, but each section should be about 2″ wide. Part each section vertically, then curl the strand with the SinglePass Curl. Hold the iron on the hair for only a couple of seconds, then unwind it back down and pull the strand taut before releasing.

Step 2: Cool

Repeat step 1 until all the hair has been curled. Be sure to leave each strand in a twist until they have all fully cooled.

Curl your hair using the 1″ Defined Curls clip barrel. Be sure to curl each strand all the way to the end and don’t brush out the curls after they’ve been released from the barrel. This will give the finished look more bounce and body.

Step 2: Tease

Add a duckbill clip just above your ears on each side of the face. Then, use the Paddle Brush to start backcombing the curls only below the clips. Repeat with each curl, then spritz with hairspray and texturizing spray.

Step 3: Comb

Using a comb, slick down the hair above the clips. Spray with hairspray to give the top of the hair a slick appearance.

Step 1: Curl Away

Take a 1″ section of hair. Curl the top half of that strand away from your face with the Polished Curls barrel. Once the top half of the strand is curled, release the hair from the iron.

Step 2: Curl Towards

Taking the same strand, curl the bottom half towards your face with the Twirl Convertible. This will create a unique pattern and effortless texture to your curl! Repeat this technique throughout the whole head.

Step 3: Twist & Pin

Starting at your part twist and roll the hair that frames the face back, continuously adding hair to the twist, until you’ve reached the back of your head. Secure the twist in place with bobby pins. Repeat this step on the other side of your part.
