Question:	Is it instant heat? How long does it take for it to heat up
Answer:	On the variable heating unit it heats up in less than 1 min. It is almost instant heat. I do not have the preset unit so I am not sure if it takes longer. I set my variable unit to 325-350 and it heats up in less than 1 min.

Answer:	Sure. I use volume spray and heat protector on my hair.
Question:	Can the heat be adjusted
Answer:	No, my unit cannot adjust heat. It's super hot !!! It's Over 400° and makes my hair smell terrible. I have fine hair and have used a 400° iron before however this one seems to run a bit hotter than my other unit. The other thing to watch out for is the barrels with the clips do not have a cool end to grab a hold of to twist hair up into the barrel like a traditional clip barrel iron would normally have. I have a habit of grabbing the end of my clip barrel curling iron and I have burned myself several times because these clipped barrel irons do not have the cool end. Not being able to touch the end of a clip barrel to adjust the hair within the barrel makes it difficult to style the hair. I don't recommend this unit . The non-clipped barrels are tapered in size and are very slippery. Hence your hair slips to the bottom of the barrel.
