Answer:	For deep tighter waves section your hair into smaller sections, bigger sections of hair for loose light waves. You can also use more or less pressure when you clamp the tool on your hair, for example, I use less pressure and less time when closer to my roots so they don’t get that weird straight line at the top of my head and then as I move down I use more pressure and hold it a few seconds longer. Use a light coat of texture spray before and after and comb through your hair with your fingers to separate the waves and it won’t be frizzy. Use a volumizing power in your roots after so that it doesn't look flat compared to the rest of your hair. I also pull the tool up and away from my scalp when I am at the roots so it gives it a bit of volume.

Answer:	I used to work at Cosmoprof, a wholesaler of professional beauty products that only sells to licensed hairdressers, and over my time there I got to try pretty much every professional shampoo & conditioner available. Also, I learned a LOT about all different types of hair and what works best for them. Thick, wavy/curly hair tends to be dry and needs more moisture than straight, fine hair. I think this shampoo & condition would NOT do much for your hair type, it won't be moisturizing enough. You should look into the line called "DevaCurl" made specifically for curly hair - everyone that used it said it did wonders to liven up their curly hair. If not, then there are 3 levels of this shampoo & condition from Tigi - this green one is for least damaged hair - I would get the step up from this. It's called "Recovery" & comes in blue. But, try Deva Curl if you can! Hope this helps :)

Answer:	Yes it had an auto shut off, most curling irons do. But I found out the hard way that it doesn't shut off when it overheats.

Answer:	It's shiny, but they're not made as well as they used to be. It looks the same, but Conair is cutting corners to keep this product the same price. Mine shorted out today and burned off a section of my hair. It literally melted and stuck to the barrel. The piece still on my head is frizzed and burnt. I've owned about a dozen of these since the mid 90's and never had this problem, but this incident was enough to make this my last Conair curling iron.

Answer:	I don'y have experience with the deep waver, but my hair is in layers and it is cut in a bob, just above my shoulders also. I love this waver ! Makes a nice wave without the kinky look. Just takes some practice. There are a ton of videos on YouTube show how to use this waver in short hair. Check them out and I think you will have a better idea. Hope this helps.
