Answer:	I gave it a Goog and found that h9 and h11 are light bulb references. From the internet: “It's basically a matter of different filament with different characteristics. Answer:	The black gold is coated in ceramic which is best for Coarse, dry, thicker hair. It’s less damaging. I would say their 24 gold tools are best for fine hair that is harder to hold styles.

Answer:	I called the company. The black and gold one is plated in 24K gold whereas the black gold one is coated in titanium and ceramic. The person I spoke with said they both get hot and both have the charcoal technology. Hope that helps!
