Question:	Does it work well on African American or mixed curly hair
Answer:	I've had this flat iron for 5 or 6 years, I've used it for maybe about 3 of those years where my hair was a mix of natural and permed, and YES it works very well on African American hair. There is a heat controlled setting on this flat iron. So, to the person that states it's too hot and breaks an AA's hair off, first of all, not all AA's hair is the same. My hair requires a greater amount of heat to straighten. Second, I don't think they are using the setting correctly because the heat setting can be controlled. It will fry anyone's hair (fabrics, clothing, etc.) on the highest setting, which I believe is 450 deg. I keep it right around 410 deg. I use this to achieve very straight styles (or right after a shampoo and blow dry) and my mini for daily use. I also use this with a thermal protector like Mizani thermal protector. I also use to use this with the Mizani's Gloss Veil when until they stopped making it. Make a long story short, it can get very hot, but don't use it on it's highest setting.

Answer:	I believe the only difference is that the 3rd generation has slightly longer plates than the regular iron. Neither of these flat irons are of the current generation, which is why they're being sold so cheaply. I think they must be a few years old, because if you look at the current 1-inch flat iron on HSI's website, it's slightly different and costs quite a bit more. That said, I bought the regular iron here and I could not be happier with it. It's everything I wanted. I can curl or straighten my hair, it doesn't burn, the temperature can be adjusted so easily. My only warning is that it doesn't have an automatic turn-off, so you need to be someone who can always remember to turn it off or unplug it.

Question:	Will this dryer work on very short fine hair where all I want is smooth volume? Could kick myself for not paying better attention to what stylist did
Answer:	The one point to consider is that the brush is quite large. If your hair is very short I'm not sure how you would build volume if you are unable to wrap brush around hair. I love this dryer but you may be better off looking at dryer brushes (and there are plenty) that are similar in size to a curling iron. At least you would have a chance of building volume. Cheers

Answer:	I received, but 110 watts does not suit me, how can I change to 220 volts?

Answer:	This same thing happened to me. Had it for 8 months and had just used it, maybe 12 times. I called the manufacturer (Amazon provides that information), told them what happened and they sent me a new one. I called on monday and today (friday) it came in. It took only 4 days!! :D Just make sure to have your dryer at hand when you call.
Question:	What is the watts/wattage for this product
Answer:	I'm going to guess you might have wanted to know how much wattage this dryer has ie how much "blow power" it has. I looked high and low for this information because if this was going to be a styling tool with 4-500 watts of power it was going to take 5 days to dry my hair and I didn't want it. I finally found the information on a hardware store sight of all places and they listed the wattage as 1100 watts. That seems about right. It is quite powerful and dries my curly hair smooth and bouncy quite quickly as long as I do sections of hair at a time. I have no explanation why Revlon does not list the watts on the pamphlet or on the actual unit so no fault to Amazon. It might have been on the box but I've since thrown it away. Women need to know if there is a little stream of air blowing, a full force dryer or something in between. I'd say this is in between but blows really well. I love this and if you've been using other blow style round brushes this will be the best one you'll ever own. There is a great U tube video where a girl with a bob demonstrates how to use it and I found it very helpful, including how to hold the unit top and bottom and roll roll roll to get gorgeous results. • Question 2: Brushes do not stay attached and keep falling off, difficult to remove to exchange the head.

Answer: Be sure you use the right way. Installation steps: Getting the brush to click into the base took some force to (a) push it into the base hard enough before (b) twisting left until it clicks. If it doesn’t CLICK, it WILL work itself loose. Once you locking correctly, it never falls off.

Disassembly steps: a) Press and hold the remove button. b) At the meantime, twist right to remove the brush head.

• Question 3: The speed and temperature setting seems not working correctly.

Answer: For Flexible use on different hair types and in different seasons, our 2 speed and 3 temperature settings are not like others.
