Answer:	Not the clamps, metal pins. They work well for me. And my hair is pretty short and they hold the roller well. Hope this helps
Question:	how do they get hot? I see a thin wire to heat them
Answer:	There are metal posts that heat them. The curlers slide onto the metal posts and are heated from the middle outwards. They quite hot but do take a few minutes to heat up.

Answer:	I don't see why not. I have a few clairol brand clips that I use, they work fine. Pretty much shaped the same just had to squeeze them so they were a tad tighter grip on the curler

Answer:	My hair is crazy thick and naturally very wavy and frizzy in the humidity. I swear by these hot rollers and have used them since middle school (I’m 30). They work best if you blow out your hair with a round brush then immediately use the hot rollers with a spray gel (herbal essence spray gel, teal bottle). 5-6 rollers straight back - I do the first by my face with a thick roller and the bottom piece at base of my neck with the thick one) then 3 on each side of my head. Thick one by the face and then 2 of the smaller ones behind it. Keep in for 10 min for looser curls, 20-30 for longer stay. Take out, toss your head over and run fingers through the scalp part to loosen at the base, and then add gloss! My curls last 5-6 days cause I have very dry hair (unless it’s the dead of summer then typically 4 days cause humidity - my nemesis ). Enjoy!!!!

Answer:	I use just regular hair spray on the end of each section when rolling with hot rollers. I spray, run a comb through the hair and roll. It helps to hold the hair on the roller to get started AND HELPS THE CURL TO stay in the hair. ( works like a hair styling gel. Anyone remember DippityDoo?) I have been doing this for 40+ years. Your comb will collect dried hair spay and need to be washed often. Liquid soap or shampoo and a soak in a basin of warm water will help to release it. An OLD TOOTH brush does a complete job of cleaning The comb.

Answer:	Has anyone seen a STEAM hot roller system, which uses hard, thick plastic rollers on a vented platform above bath of boiling water? The steam from the boiling water rises to the rollers which one then rolls into one's hair and secures firmly with a clip. By the time the last roller is secured the first one is almost ready to be taken off. The rollers have special ends so they can be handled even with the steamy hot,or one can use gloves. The steam energy is released into the hair as it curls and the set lasts a very very long time. I had one many years ago and it took me less than 15minures to tame my very coarse, thick, curly hair into smooth manageability. Answer:	I dry my hair and then put moose in my hair. Let that dry and then I set my hair. Then I tie a large silky scarf around my head. Had no trouble sleeping and came out so curly and cute. My hair is very thin and straight. The next day it loosened up and very wavy. Loved it both ways. 40 curlers is more than enough.

Answer:	I too have thick hair and it was definitely enough rollers, but not all of the same size. I used smaller rollers to the front and bigger ones to the back. It's only like 6 or so of each color/size.

U can get both long and short curls depends on the way you wrap your hair around the rods.... Hope this helps..... P.s. I have in a weave and they curled my hair great.... My daughter has in braids n I curl her braids with the rods then dipped them into hot water... All turned out nicely...

Answer:	I have thick hair that goes to the bottom of my back. It's trial and error, but I found if you don't roll them too tight and you put them in with more than enough time to dry, you wind up brushing out some awesome curls. Just do not roll too tight or you will wind up looking like a doll.

Answer:	You have to have the right pins. The pins that come with the set do not stay in no matter what type of hair you have ! I suggest to you and other to buy the metal hair pins. They hold no matter where you place the roller. Take bigger sections of thin hair for it to stay put.
