A total adjustment of almost six inches with the hood fully open, and maybe 4 more if you don't mind the hood at an angle. It was not easy to pull the column open... Looking for a way to make it slide better. Silicon spray?

Answer:	If you sit under it long enough it will. I am AA with bra strap lenght hair and usually need about 75-90 min under the dryer. With this one I have been under for as long as two hours for a fully dry roller set. I wish I could tell you its a good buy but its not. I been roller setting my own hair since age 12 and this is the worst and loudest hood dryer I ever used. The very worst part is there really is no way to lock the hood in place. They have the flimsy plastic catch on the back and this dryer will collapse on your head at the slightest movement. It took me a while to master lowering the dryer down over my head with both hands up and behind my head to push the catch into place. Ok Ill stop rambling...find another dryer cause this one aint it.

Answer:	Mine came with stapler - it was in the box. Check the box thoroughly as some times it’s between the box’s pieces of cardboard that only look packing material. If it’s not there, go to a Radio Shack and they will have what you need. Also there are many electronics stores on line where you buy them as well.

Answer:	I ordered this to replace my older model of the same design and type as in the picture. However that’s not what I got. Instead I got the latest model stapler, it’s a different shape and stapling is much louder. For me, I wanted to continue with the quiet stapler cuz I work in my home office late at night and it was soft enough to not wake anyone. This new one would wake whole house if you stapled 5 things in a row.

Answer:	That doesn't sound right....mine came with a stand. That said, I haven't even been using my stand. I usually lay the dryer on its side on my sofa and then lie down with my head inside the dryer ... it's easier for me to store it when it's not assembled.

Answer:	I had the same concern when I bought this dryer. I have very thick curly hair that goes down to the middle of my neck. When I wash my hair, I let it air dry for about 15-20 minutes and then get under the dryer for a maximum of 20 minutes, usually less time. I have a pile of magazines in front of the dryer and, quite frankly, I think I take longer than I need because I'm enjoying my reading material. I've had a great experience with this dryer - no complaints.
