The current ones are made of plastic w/brand name in silver. Don't expect that they will last that long, but they are still comfortable to use on your scalp and won't snap on naturally curl hair. Answer:	It comes with 2 poles in photo but only one is meant as the center pole. The other is for holding up the front flap and that pole is thinner and I never figured out how to use it. It wasn't in instructions and I don't get how it's supposed to support itself.
