I'm not sure that I understand the question but spacer beads typically just slide off of the chain they're on so that any charms (or "stones") can be slid on the chain in what ever order you choose. You are able to feed the spacer beads at any point on the chain. I have many birthstone charms of my whole family that I wear on a sterling silver chain with a spacer bead or two in between each charm so they hang nicely and are separated and not jumbled over each other.
