Answer:	Do NOT listen to "Fashion Spy," as the other person said, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with cleanliness. Just like females get yeast infections, which is obviously NOT a cleanliness issue, the head/scalps often have fungal infections. In fact, about 80% of people do carry on with scalp fungal infections, just some people don't experience any symptoms. It is very common, but it takes some time to get under control. That being said, I do not agree with person who said dry your scalp completely after showering. Ive been a medical professional for 20 yrs, drying your scalp immediately after showering, will absolutely make this worse. It speeds up the proliferation of additional cells, therefore accelerating the flaking or plaques buildup. Do not put heat to it. In fact. When u shower, and shampoo, use tepid, lukewarm water, not hot water. I have yet to find an anti-fungal shampoo that is effective enough to reverse my problem. A big problem with all these companies, is they include some form of alcohol, as one of the top main ingredients, and that is BAD for our situation. You do not want a product, with tons of alcohol on top of an already painful, itchy, and plaqued scalp. So avoid the ones with alcohol in the top 5.

Answer:	I am not near that information right now but I will say that the stuff is working. I was for months getting this stinging in my eyes and stumbled across information that led me to believe that my scalp was the source. It would get oily very quickly and then I would get a very unpleasant stinging..There is a connection between fungus and inflamation. I started brushing my hair vigoously with a stout bristle brush and then massage this shampoo into my scalp. Stinging is gone, so is the oiliness and my hair is definitely healthier looking. Answer:	There are so many uninformed answers to this question. Coal tar is anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, anti-itch, anti-inflammatory. It’s used to treat psoriasis in humans. And yes, yeast is a fungus. It’s most likely that your dog with “yeast” problems has an overgrowth of Candida Albicans, and very probable that it’s an internal overgrowth that caused the skin affliction. I’m not speaking for the effectiveness of coal tar against Candida, but if topical treatment of your dog’s skin issue doesn’t respond to treatment or reoccurs after treatment, you should consider treating the problem internally. Also, if you’re feeding your dog dry food you may be perpetuating the problem. Dry food is rarely free of mold/mycotoxins.

Answer:	So far it has worked the best. I make sure to wash my brushes after each bath. Not to reinfect.

Answer:	I don't know. I'd go to the vet as ringworm spreads so rapidly (from animal to animal - and from animal to human.) I found this product a pleasant pet shampoo but whether it's effective as an anti-fungal at all, I don't know. My bottle listed ingredients including 1% Ketoconazole. I've zip medical training but have (merely) READ that some over-the-counter anti-fungals (sold as remedies for jock-itch; athletes foot, etc) contain 1% or 2% Ketoconazole. Still, I think I'd go to the vet right away for ringworm - or at least start off at the locale pharmacy having a chat with a pharmacist about 1% Ketoconazole, OTC remedies and ringworm in general.

Question:	I noticed that the colour of the shampoo is significantly lighter than before in my recent purchase. Is there a formulation change or is it a defect
Answer:	I don’t know the answer for CERTAIN, but this new lighter color seems less effective. My 1st bottle (the deep red color), helped my dog’s bacterial infection as much as antibiotics. Answer:	Chlorhexidine is a persistent antiseptic and anti fungal. When used with the potent ketoconazole, there is a synergistic effect. It is of utmost importance that no ANionic surfactants are used on the dog before or after the shampoo is used as it deactivates the chlorhexidine (CHG). That is why you shouldn’t brush your teeth right before you use CHG mouthwashes.

Answer:	I don't honestly know, since I didn't use it for that. I was interested in something for really dry, cracked feet and it worked beautifully for that. There is a noticeable difference immediately, but the effects are cumulative so best results are obtained by regular use.
