Answer:	My grandson is mixed but his hair texture is more white than African, so I'm not sure if it would work the same. It is the only thing we have used that tames his hair and we love it. His hair tangles/knots up very easily, especially after he has slept on it.

Answer:	Hi! I also have curly hair within the 2c-3b spectrum and this product does weigh your hair down a little bit if you use too much. I find that this product works best in the Fall/Winter seasons. During Spring/Summer I just use a wee bit less to ensure it's not too weighted down. Hopefully this helps!
