Answer:	I usually leave for 10-15 minutes with no problems. I bought this after my stylist remarked my hair seemed really dry and I was too cheap to buy her pricey in-salon offerings. Plus I like the idea of Maui and a pineapple scent to think of great vacations in Hawaii! A month later, she remarked my hair felt good and strong again.

Answer:	It doesn't look like you can. It's built very sturdily and is a terrific mirror, but it would be oversized as a travel mirror even if you could figure out a way to take it apart. Highly recommend the mirror, though.
