Answer:	It can be a bit messy when putting on. I lined the ground with aluminum foil and my daughter laid on her back with hair on it. Made it very easy to color it this way and no mess. Once it dried it did not come off on anything however it becomes hard so really can't style hair after you put it in so make sure you have the look before applying. I did need to apply a ton of conditioner to rinse the knots out but do love the product and will use again. It lasted all day and looked great in her dirty blonde hair.

Answer:	I find that the colors are rather light, and the "chalk" is somewhat greasy. If she has straight hair, it will work fine. I don't know how the girl with the curls got hers to look that way. Of course, the color will depend on the color of the child's hair. In any case, the colors are *not* intense. There are some other products that do the job better.
