Answer:	Just make sure the gasket goes in the same way that it came out and is seated correctly

Answer:	For me, the snapseal is better. Both will provide a complete seal with no spilling. The auto seal mechanism means the mug is always sealed, and you depress a button to activate a spring mechanism to allow flow through the spout. The snapseal you flip up and it opens, but it stays open until you flip the mechanism down. Here is why the snapseal is better - over time the spring mechanism in the autoseal will accumulate "coffee product" in and around the spring, which is difficult to clean without completely disassembling the lid. The snapseal doesn't accumulate this material, and is much easier to clean because it is a simpler mechanism overall.

Answer:	I do not have an aeropress, so I am not positive. The opening to my mugs are just a touch under 3" (2 15/16" to be exact). If the base of the aeropress fits & sits comfortably within this space, then it might work for you.

Answer:	It all depends where you place the lid to screw it on. I do not give it any thought. Some times it is a perfect 90 degree angle and sometimes it may be a 50+ angle. Either way It get to my mouth whether I use my right hand or my left hand . What was important to me is the fact it keeps my coffee hot for 6 hours and warm for 10 hours.
Question:	Is it 5 hr hot or 7 hr hot capacity? Image indicates it's 7 hour, description says it's 5 hrs. There is usually a dramatic price difference, hence Q
Answer:	Curious about that too, I conducted an experiment. I started with water at 175 degrees. Closed it and checked the temp after 5 hours. The temperature of the water was at 140 degrees. At 7 hours the temperature declined to 125 degrees. Still hot in my opinion. Keep in mind, with normal use, you are opening & closing the thermos vents to drink, so with that consideration, it would probably cool down more, but not in the extreme. Hope this helps. R.

Question:	I love this thermos. I've had it for 1.5 year. The inside is flaking off black stuff (like a film). Is this normal? What is it? Do I buy a new one
Answer:	You would likely pay $30 for this quality if made in the US. You can live in yesterday or realize we now live in a WORLD ECONOMY meaning the standard of living for even Third World Nations is rising but until their living standards catch up to US it will be cheaper by far to make MANY products in China or else where. Our American brand cars are filled with foreign made parts, even major parts along with appliances and TV and Cell Phones and you name it. Get with it or be left behind. Planet earth is progressing through all it's nations we can join them or stay behind. Have you noticed the city skylines of major foreign countries? Their high rise buildings and hotels make ours look almost Third World by comparison. Remember when the Empire State Building was the world's tallest? Now we have many much taller buildings BUT other countries have much much higher ones as of many year ago. We replaced the Native Americans now we either progress or the World replaces US. Higher educations in technology, medical tech, energy, food production join the future or stay and wave good bye. The "good old days" are gone just like the Native Americans. So this silly thermos is made in China, so what? LOL

Answer:	Over tightening from the get go. Try, with selector in open postion, tighten until you feel/hear the inside seal grasp cup. Give the lid another 1/4 turn put selector lever to close. It shouldn't leak. We had the same problem over tightening, found out the lid doesn't need to be super tight not to leak the inside seal is key here. Mine has flown through the truck a couple times no leak. Good Luck
Question:	There's GOT to be a trick to getting the lid off easier. What am I missing? I've bruised my hands having to grasp it tight enough to get it open
Answer:	I have my mug right here and tested. With the lid, it is very nicely smooth and rounded (unless you happen to have dropped it off your car like me which can put some dings in it). Without the lid, it has a rather sharp edge to it, and not as comfortable, but definitely usable like that.

Answer:	Stainless steel is safer. For the 20oz model that has the SlickSteel interior (no non-stick coating inside), the Zojirushi SM-SHE60BZ is the model you are looking for. They come in two colors - black and orange.
Question:	Does the paint get scratched easily or will it hold up under use? Thanks in advance for your info
Answer:	I have the black one. I love it, but the paint has scratched off in a few spots. I’m careful with it, but I do carry it in my messenger bag. I’m extremely careful with what I put next to it, so I have to conclude the places without paint are due to rubbing against fabric.
Question:	Over time, does the mug retain flavors or smells? I only get 3-4 months of daily coffee use out of my mugs before they start retaining flavors/smells
Answer:	I left coffee in my mug for several weeks (misplaced the mug) and the smell inside was horrible, even after going through hot water washes/soaking/dishwasher. But I got it brand new again, here’s how: OxyClean is amazing for removing coffee and tea stains, and all smells, from stainless, mugs, whatever. It was great on the hard plastic parts as well. The silicone circular gasket and plug on the too inside of the lid were what stunk the worst, and nothing helped, even prolonged soaks and scrubbing in OxyClean. But they are SILICONE, and the internet taught me that the best way to get smells out of silicone is by baking it (thanks, Instapot owners!) I placed the silicone pieces on a small baking sheet in my oven at 350 degrees F, and baked for about 30 minutes. The smell baked right out of them; it was amazing!
