I am a retired electrical product design engineer and the company I owned had a spectrometer, a device that separates incoming light into its individual wavelengths. Its sensitivity extends into the UVA spectrum. This light emits negligible UVA. The cover plastic is probably the UVA filter. I'm not going to take my light apart to find out. Some of my work involved working with intense UV light sources so I had my glasses specially coated with an extra heavy UV absorbent layer. Out of an abundance of caution and because I have cataracts forming, I always wear these glasses during treatment. Ordinary reading glasses should be sufficient. DO NOT WEAR SUNGLASSES. This treatment requires sun-like white light. In conclusion, this light does not emit significant UV but not for the reason given.

Question:	How far should my eyes be from the lamp to receive 10,000 lux
Answer:	There’s a very detailed insert that comes with the lamp that includes tips and tricks. It can vary how far you’ll need to keep the light from you but this is mainly for nausea purposes. The light emits 10,000 lux. Mines usually 8-10” from my face but the insert says anywhere from 6-24” away dronface, depending on how you react to the light, you’ll have to adjust accordingly.
Question:	Does it have a mechanical switch (that is, one that can be left in the “on” position), or is it a digital switch that needs to be turned on each time
Answer:	It is a digital touch switch that starts “off” when first plugged in it when you try to control it from a smart outlet. Successive presses cycles “bright”, “med”, “dim”, “off”. Because of this behavior, there is no way to fully automate this light. It can be switched “off” via smart home controls, but attempts to turn it on still require you to manually go over and touch the lamp.
Question:	Does the light peek out of holes instead of the entire circle as one complaint stated
Answer:	The light mimics the sun with full light shining through the front of the the disk. Light also comes through the little holes around the side of the circle. It has 3 settings: high, medium & low. Never look directly at the light on high when you are turning it on. Also, the plug gets hot so I always unplug the lamp when not in use.
Question:	Why do you have to face it? i'd assume its for the eyes to absorb then? or is it dermal? face, but don't look? uv screen in product
Answer:	Bright light therapy works when the light contacts the cones in your eyes. That said, you should not stare at it. It is best actually slightly above your eye level (like the sun) and 45-90 degrees to the side. Don't wear sunglasses, just don't stare at it. And it will not be effective if you keep your eyes shut per current studies.

Answer:	Thanks for your inquiry. You know the glove has left hand one, right hand one. If you just have one glove for left hand or right hand. How To Use Our 10/30/60s & 99s Low Heat Button

1. For '10S 30S 60S' buttons - it is only available after putting your finger nail or toenails in, Once you start the these buttons, the LCD display will show the countdown when it is under the mode of 10s 30s 60s.

2. For lowheat button - when you press the '99s low heat mode' for 0.5s, our led UV curing lamp will show the clockwise timing 99s under this mode. It also means the painless mode and the output power will increase gradually.

3. For double power button - it is only available after you press 10S or 30S or 60S button, So please press the time button firstly and then press the 'double power' for 2s, after that, the current power can be switched between 48W and 54W. Note: if the press time is too short, not enough 2s, it will be work for '99s low heat mode'.

4.For auto sensor design - without press any timer button, When detecting your hand in machine, it will start working automatically, the maximum working time is 99s
