Answer:	It is dishwasher safe but the handles are wooden and will crack and split over time. I do wash mine in the dishwasher in spring and before I store them for fall. you can help extend the wood handles with some kind of wood oil a couple times a year. I use the same spray on oil I use on the wooden furniture I have. It is made by pledge and it is in a spray bottle. I can not remember the name and I haven't gotten any for this year yet.
