14 best cable with f connectors
F connectors are commonly used in coaxial cables to transmit video and audio signals. The F connector is a threaded, tubular coaxial RF connector commonly used for "over the air" terrestrial television, cable television, and universally for satellite television and cable modems, usually with RG-6/U cable or, in older installations, with RG-59/U cable.
These connectors are widely used for cable and satellite television connections. They provide a reliable and secure connection for transmitting audio and video signals. The F connector has a threaded design, which ensures a secure and tight connection when screwed onto the female port.
RG-6 and RG-59 are standard cable types used with F connectors. RG-6 is a thicker cable with a larger conductor and is commonly used for long cable runs or in situations where signal strength needs to be maintained over a greater distance. RG-59 is a thinner cable and is suitable for shorter cable runs.
In the context of audio and video accessories, F connectors are often used in coaxial cables for connecting TVs, cable boxes, satellite receivers, and other audio/video equipment. The F connector is a fundamental component in these setups, ensuring a clear and reliable signal transmission.
When connecting F connectors, it's important to ensure a proper match between the cable type (RG-6 or RG-59) and the connector. Additionally, tight and secure connections are crucial to maintain signal integrity and prevent signal loss.
In summary, F connectors are widely used in coaxial cables for transmitting audio and video signals, especially in the context of cable and satellite television connections. They play a significant role in providing reliable audio and video transmission in various electronic setups.

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these connectors female on both sides and used to connect the male ends of two separate cables? Just want to make sure |
Answer: | you do not have to remove the pins, for 6pin, it is a surrounding pin arrange, you can solder the wire to the pin directly! |
Question: | Can i use this to extend my internet modem coaxial cable |
Answer: | it can not be work with 3/8", our recommend wire is AWG20 or AWG18, since the contact diameter is 1mm. |
Question: | Could these extenders be used to connect multiple coaxial cables; both indoors/outdoors |
Answer: | Yes I use it for my kayak fish finder 12v. I don't think this can handle the China rated "380v" high voltage anyway as the wire solder points are very close together and would arc. But great low voltage plug and even stands up to salt water |
Question: | Are they mini coax or standrd coax |
Answer: | the hole size is 13mm, and the panel thickness is 3.5mm max. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do I need the adapter with the coaxial cable |
Answer: | yes of course ! it is meant for RG6 coax cable. Not RG59 cable. the cable should have markings on it RG6 or 59 . |
Question: | can this be use outdoors? is it uv rated |
Answer: | Yes it does. You are not preparing the cable correctly. The Shield wires and foil should only be partially detached and folded back over the outer casing. Look on Youtube. You will find any number of good resources. The primary thing to remember is ZERO shielding may come near the center wire conductor. That will cause a dead short and the cable will fail. |
Question: | What is the cable's length |
Answer: | works with RG-6 |
Question: | It might help if the length was listed |
Answer: | 1 5/16" before & 1 1/16" after. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Did anyone have trouble inserting the cable all the way until the white insulation is flush with the bottom of the screw head |
Answer: | Dunno, but these are VERY CHEAP! If you tighten them too much, the will break off...avoid these at all times! |
Question: | the crimper does not work, it just pushes down on the cable end but does not seal the end please provide instruction |
Answer: | I would buy a cable stripping tool. It will do a much better job for you and it is much faster. Plus you are in no danger of cutting your fingers and it is not very expensive for a cable stripping tool. |
Question: | How can i tell exactly what king of coax cable i have? it is a standard cable for cable tv as far as i know |
Answer: | I would return them. |
Question: | How many connectors come in the kit |
Answer: | As others have mentioned, these do not *easily* fit the slightly thicker RG-6/Q (quad shield) cable, but they do work. The connector has an internal metal cylinder that is supposed to insert in the shielding space (between the inner and outer insulation) , and make contact with the shielding. Two things are required. Firstly, prepare the cable with the center copper wire extending about an inch past the end of the inner insulation. This will allow the center to protrude past the end of the connector (trim it to size after the connector is crimped on). Secondly, push the connector onto the cable as hard as you can. You want to have the internal metal cylinder make contact with the shielding, and insert itself as far as it can between the inner and outer insulation. Crimp, then trim the central copper wire to size. |

How To Use The Stripping Tool
1.Push the cassette out of the housing, push from the front of the cassette. 2.Cassette is reversible, one side is available for RG-59/6 and another side is for RG-7/11.
3.For stripping coaxial cable: a.Insert the cable until it aligns with the cable guide. b.Insert your index finger into the stripper's finger ring, rotate the stripper by counter clockwise 3-5 times. The cable insulation is cut while you are turning the stripper. c.Open the jaws and remove the cable. Pull away the outer jacket and dielectric to expose the inner conductor. d.Stripping distance is designed for 6mm, for each dielectric and inner conduct.

User questions & answers
Question: | What are the dimensions of this? I need on that is about 1/2 inch wide |
Answer: | I don't remember any specific problems. This crimper works differently from others I've used (for other types of coax), and it took me a minute to figure out how to work it. Maybe your coax is a little off-spec? If you don't get the insulation ALL the way up to the mark, you still may get a good connection. Sorry I can't be more specific. |
Question: | I need a connector from the tv it came I can’t plug in cable to tv |
Answer: | So, you just can’t put the stripped end of the coax into the head and then crimp, won’t work and won’t crimp - the head will fall off. You strip the cable (easy enough) and then slide it into the head. You’ll need to forcibly push the head onto the cable, I twisted the head back/forth down on to the stripped cable for a bit to make sure the head was secure, I guess I could measure next time how far, but I’d say make sure the wire is at least 1/8 of an inch through the end of the head. Then the crimp works well, took me 5 wasted heads to figure this out, but make sure your force down the head onto the cable, simply threading it through and crimping will not work. cool? |
Question: | How many in package |
Answer: | If it is stamped " RG-6 " it is standard TV cable. |
Question: | Is this female to female? thanks |
Answer: | I do not remember the exact amount but there was a lot. I had issues with getting them to crimp and went through several before I figured it out. |

Question: | I've bought a new tv a few weeks ago. all it has on it is hdmi hookups. what do i need to convert it to coaxial cable |
Answer: | Hello friends, you can is a coaxial cable, thank you! |
Question: | can this be used to adapt of rooftop antenna cable to coax cable to connect to cable box |
Answer: | This is a Coaxial elbow, typically used on coaxial outlets on walls. It wouldn't expect it to work on a fiber optic outlet. Typically, Fios is converted into coaxial once it reaches your residence. So to answer your question, if you have a coaxial cable connected to a coaxial outlet on the wall, it should work, regardless if you have Fios or not. |
Question: | Do these come with the locking nut |
Answer: | Probably copper plate steel. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I am looking for the female counterpart to this item. Does anyone have an item number, please |
Answer: | Think antenna outlet on the back of your TV. Cable connector to extend cable by joining two ends male and female. |
Question: | Looks like one solid piece. Does the outer larger female end section spin free from the twist-on narrower end |
Answer: | If you have read the two prior answers and have the threaded nuts that fit, and are willing to use two connectors and plates depending on the thickness of the wall you could possibly make a wall plate. |
Question: | I see the dimensions of the rg6 and rg59 connector are the same (8mm od). this does not seem correct. can you confirm the dimensions |
Answer: | RESPONSE FROM VCELINK: Thanks for asking. Yes, They are 75 ohm. Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions by contacting us through Amazon's messaging center. Open the product page, click on "Sold by VCELINK" and then "Ask a Question". |
Question: | If the end piece of the connector does not spin, then I have to spin the modem in circles to thread it on the end of the cable, right |
Answer: | I was having issues with slow internet over coaxial. After exhausting all other avenues, the service tech said "Oh, you have the clear connector, which doesn't allow for high speeds, the blue ones allow more throughput." So all I know is the ones used by the tech that have the blue internal part will supposedly limit power loss. Or allow for more throughput. |
