| Answer: | I initially bought 8 Cacala Peshtemels (30 X 70", same as Bosphorous full sized), *not knowing (!)* that they were "Cacala's", nor did I have any remote clue about quality of 1 brand from another. I only WISH I'd known of Bosphorous, as this seller is incredibly generous with educational info, BEST prices (!!!), lightning fast shipping, perfect honoring of my color selection, etc. Anyway, to answer your question- I later bought 16 of these hand sized Peshtemels from Bosphorous. Comparing the 2 brands, they seem (possibly?) to be made from the same cloth (lol đ); The only difference I experience is that the Cacala's cost a fortune- over 3X as much as these (Bosphorous), & feel softer, faster. It takes 3-5 launderings to get the Bosphorous towels to soften up & become absorbent, but I've read that putting vinegar in the wash will help remove the sizing (which is essentially some kind of semi-permanent starching, to help these thin towels retain their body over time). The Cacala's are so soft, in fact, that I worry if/how they'll hold up over repeated usage... As a comparison think about the way that softer brands of tissues disintigrate upon slightest touch (or in softest breeze!), while sturdier brands withstand & get you through a monster cold/flu. Sorry, my analogies are notoriously bad... but maybe this will help someone, trying to decide! Another important factoid, is that Bosphorous Seller has already graciously explained the costs of shipping, the levels of quality of different weaves (buy Diamond Weave if you want "the best" Peshtemels!). I'm absolutely kicking myself, that I didn't discover Bosphorous to buy 6-8 full sized peshtemels to begin with. Now, I don't need more, but if I move South (pool/beachfront), & I can find white or navy in the full sized (or twin blanket size!), Diamond Weave, I'll definitely buy from Bosphorous. I really dig this Seller- S/He is very honest & open about the Traditional Turkish Textile industry! It's clear to me that this Foreign Seller goes to great lengths to satisfy US buyers- Very transparent about the cost of textiles vs. cost of shipping internationally, happy to explain entry level / mid range / best quality fouta's, including regional Rose lotion gift to some buyers, etc. (Damascus Rose is grown regionally there, for perfume / cosmetic industry).Remember: NO fabric softener, no bleach, & frankly, don't bother, unless you already know that you're likely open to new experiences- This really is a very different towel experience vs. small, thick, heavy, Terry towels. (Weve used ours all winter long in Syracuse, NY, love them!). Like everyone else who loves these Peshtemels, I too dig the large size- Perfect for a bathing suit wrap skirt, a shoulder sunscreen wrap on sunburned skin, against further tropical sunburn, a very light, breathable cotton night- blanket for the tropics, (especially when a hotel gives you polyester / acrylic blankets!), a light covering for a mid Pacific, breezy beach front hammock nap, a decorative throw on furniture, use as a sheet for a couch surfing guest, a tablecloth, a curtain... uses are endless! (Yeah, of course I've used mine as all of the above, & more- referring to the regular/full sized 30X 70"). These hand towels measure ~ 24X33", after laundering, not including fringe. We use these constantly in our bathrooms, hands & face, + squeezing extra water out of long wet hair, + a clean dry surface to sit on edge of bathtub while applying moisturizer after bath, etc. I also drape one of these swanky hand towels over a window fan when not on during daytime (for privacy). (Once I got these Bosphorous towels, I immediately donated all my "regular" towels to the local animal shelter).Sorry so long winded. My dissertation summary & conclusion, is that if you do want the "highest" quality Peshtemel, go for the slightly higher cost diamond weave (based upon Sellers advice!)... Or, simply try a few of these, & a few Cacala's. I stressed about my purchases, but now I realize they're only towels, & I could have easily purchased a starter 3-pack from this reputable Seller, very affordably! Cacala seller was highly reputable, too! (Just much more expensive!). I will absolutely buy more of these hand towels, & eventually some full sized Peshtemels, from Bosphorous!Edit/ Addendum: I've learned- Upon receipt, 1st, soak overnight in wash tub pail, whatever, with a full cup or 2 of vinegar ($1/bottle); Then launder with detergent, extra rinse it if you use too much detergent. Make sure NO fabric softener. The vinegar effectively removes the semi perm. starch applied during manufacturing (to yield a "perfect look" & fold completely flat/compact for international shipping). Removal of this starch is critical, because it completely prevents softness, fiber fluff, & absorbancy. If not removed, towels will feel rough, table-cloth-like, & non-absorbent. What a diff. the pre-wash vinegar soak makes! |

| Answer: | They ARE cotton. 100% cotton. They are just not terry-cloth. They are wonderfully soft and very absorbent for my hands and face. I, personally, would not use them for dishes. I prefer linen dish towels. But if I do have cotton I think they do a better job with a stiffer texture than these towels have. My guess is that being this soft there might be lint on dishes.These are meant to be used on the body and they feel like it. If you like the colors though, I guess you could use them for anything you chose. They will drink up water that's for sure. |

This cover is designed to fit a standard size preschool pad that measures 19" x 44". A typical preschool cot usually runs larger. A crib sheet is designed to fit a size 28" x 52".
