Answer:	This one folds down completely. we had returned a different one that folded down but at an angle and it was a major tripping hazard. I guess it depends on how high off the floor your bed is but for us this has been great. Question:	Has anyone used this on a convertible crib? Our 13 mo old co-sleeps with us and want her in her own bed but she's a wild sleeper
Answer:	The rail is 43-inches long. When the crib is converted to a toddler or day bed it would probably work. But, it would depend on how the convertable crib was designed as some have built in guard rail.
Question:	Does the rail swing down to be flat against the base of the bed? The photo makes it appear as though it swings down, but may rest at an angle. Thanks
Answer:	The first response is correct, if the boxspring and frame are high enough off the ground the rail will swing down and lay flat. Just installed my sons this week and the bed and frame are super high so it lays flat w/ no issues. For reference the TOP of my box spring is 21in off the floor, this leaves a 2in gap between the floor and the rail when it is in the down position.
Question:	Will this work on a mattress which i placed directly on the floor without box spring
Answer:	No. The rail is held in place by a strap that goes under the mattress. at the end is a piece of plastic that forms a T with the strap. In other words, part of the plastic sticks up, and part sticks down. this keeps the rail from slipping. If you put the mattress on the floor, the "T" wouldn't be in a proper position and wouldn't hold it. I think you're going to need a box spring for it to work properly.
Question:	I have a bunk bed that has at least a dozen wooden slats but no boxspring or plywood piece. Would it work for me
Answer:	This bedrail will only work "properly" for a bed with mattress and a boxspring. It will also work for any other bed like wooden beds but you wont be able to pull it down to the side of the bed. Just keep it upright all the time. The thing is the main frame of the bed on the side will prevent you from folding the bedrail down. If the wooden bed has slats, just tie the two supporting part of the bedframe to two corresponding slats, You may use a packaging tape to tape it in place.

Answer:	It all depends on the sides of the bed not necessarily what's under it. The security straps have a plastic "T" on the end. They cross from the side with the safety gate under the mattress and out the other side where the "T" is positioned between (usually) the mattress and boxspring. That being said, I did use it briefly on a bed with no box spring and slats under it. We positioned the "T" with one side on the mattress and then just made sure that it was positioned over one of the slats so that it didn't fall through. It did work ok, but not recommended as the straps did occasionally slip due to not having a mattress or board etc. on the other side of the "T." It really all depends on the type of bed and what sides they would have to position the "T" on if that makes any sense.

Answer:	I’m not sure how exactly you are going to use the bumpers, but if you intend to use them as you transition from crib to toddler bed, I would say, I think they are short enough but they might restrict the child to a very small place. I think they would work well on top of the sheet. The bottom of the bumpers have some sort of silicone material that prevents shifting. I have used it on a bed with my granddaughter and those things stay put and she is a very active sleeper as most toddlers are. She moves a lot but the bumpers stay in place.

Answer:	I used it on our day bed and it worked just fine. It fit tightly, and our 3 year old grandson was safe and secure in the bed.
Question:	How easy is the swing down function? Is it in the way for changing sheets/mattress pad? I would be using it for a child who is not yet potty trained
Answer:	The swing down function isn't necessarily easy, but I think the way it is designed is the easiest way it can get while still being secure. It has two flip up/down locks on either end of the rails. Flipping the locks can be done with one hand, but you can really only do one at a time. The rail doesn't really get in the way when changing the sheets, although it is best to flip the rail down when doing so. When properly installed, I feel very sure that my daughter will not roll off the bed, or that the device would fail; it feels very sturdy. We are using it on a full size mattress and there is a gap in between the footboard and the end of the rail big enough for an adult to sit on the edge of the bed while the rail is up. So our daughter can also climb on and off the end of the bed while the rail is up. This doesn't pose a risk for us being that our daughter doesn't roll much at night. I am not sure as to how this bed rail would effect the not yet potty trained child. Either way, I definitely recommend this product.
Question:	Has anyone actually used this on a king sized bed and can confirm it works without issue and is secure
Answer:	I'm surprised to see responses saying this fits a king sized bed. The straps on the one I purchased in April 2018 are clearly too short. This would work for a queen or smaller, but no way will it fit a king. Perhaps the manufacturer changed the strap size within the past year or two. Odd that they would do that. I have to return the product.

Answer:	We made it work on a day bed where there were just slats and a mattress but no box spring. We had to put a thick blanket over the slats but it still worked okay. You can still store it between the slats and mattress when not in use. Well worth it when grandchildren are visiting.

Answer:	Yes that is the only way that you can change the levels!

Answer:	Yes I would think so and then attach the pocketed storage hanger on the rail to hold remotes, books, tablets etc.
Question:	At lower rail heights do the vertical pieces extend down to hold against the side of the box spring/support
Answer:	The bottom of the rail extends down farther then that last height position. It does not extend all the way past the side of the the box spring. It simply is positioned between the top mattress and the box spring. I’ve had the one I purchased for almost two months and with constant use, the rail has not moved or bent. It stays in position and is snug against the bed. Hope this helps. I would strongly recommend.

Answer:	Hello: It is 23" tall when fully raised which will give you as much as 15" above the mattress. The width of the rail is 30". The part going between the box and the mattress is adjustable to fit King, Queen, Full and Twin beds. There are 3 Slip-Free Foam which Keeps rail snugly in place to provide superior safety. Question:	is it strong enough for an adult to pull them self up
Answer:	No, they are held together by a "ribbon" underneath the mattress and can easily come away from the mattress and have to be tightened again. My two year old (almost 3) likes to kick them and I constantly have to tighten them again. Not strong enough to hold an adult pulling on them

Answer:	Bought these for my 2 rambunctious twins and neither has had that happen. And they're all over the bed when they sleep and rough housing with older brother when awake :)

Answer:	I couldn’t find anything about weight here or any other place I looked but they are definitely not secure enough for an adult. I would say 100 and less.
