Answer:	There is no pouch. They are covered in a soft plastic. We have used them, putting them directly on the effected area. They work really well in place of ice cudes at ball parks.

Answer:	Active ingridiant is Calcium Ammonium Nitrate, is that bad for the enviroment? The package is like a plastic, probably not recyclable.

Answer:	The packs are a little flexible but mostly solid. The plastic that they used is stiff but it’s still soft enough to use when on your body when hurt or to put in a lunch box to keep food cold for a short period of time.

Question:	I lost my instructions. How much water do I add to an xl pack
Answer:	There is no XL to my knowledge. They sell 3x lg(meaning 3(times) large packs). Dont worry, i was trying to find the water volume for XL too!

Answer:	I just did a test: yes, but just barely in fresh water. I think there is a small amount of air in the frozen packs that keeps them buoyant.
Question:	When you say that this item is colder than ice, what does that mean? ice can be cooled to any temperature unless i'm mistaken. a rock can be 18*f
Answer:	aI believe what they mean is that the latent heat point for the melting phase (transitioning from solid to liquid or liquid to solid without changing temperature) is 18 Degrees F, whereas pure water (note the pure) transitions at 32 Degrees F. This is a big deal because the energy difference between 18 and 32 means it will absorb a lot more heat for a relative temperature rise. 32 to 40 is only 8 degrees whereas 18 to 40 is 22 degrees, almost 3x the amount.
Question:	How long do these stay frozen for
Answer:	Mine have stayed frozen for approximately 9-10 hrs. I left food in the cooler,which was well-insulated, and it which was still cold when I got home. This was kept in office setting with temps in room in the 70’s.

Answer:	Hi Abby, yes they do sweat. I use boxes to contain my food so its not an issue.I use only 1 piece of the ice pack. Stays frozen/partially frozen for about 2 hours in my neoprene lunch bag. After that its cool for another 1 to 2 hours. Maybe a foil lined bag might work better.I use it to carry lunch and breakfast to my work place. Keeps it cool enough until lunch. My frozen cooked vegetables and meat sometimes still have little ice crystals in them at lunch. This is about 4.5 hours after I pack it straight from freezer. My frozen vegetables are packed in a 70ml container. The meat in 100ml container. Hope this helps. I stay in the tropics. Daily temperatures ranging from 28-31 degree celsius after the sun is up. My lunch is out for about 1.5 hours before I reach office.Hope this helps!

Answer:	It appears to be only water. It doesn't say specifically. But I think for the price and thier slenderness in combination with thermal type lunch bag/pale they can the meet the needs of most people.

Answer:	I got this for my wife (who just had back surgery) and just had her check. It has an elastic belt, which will fit me (size 48 pants) with room to spare, so unless you work for the circus, and are IMMENSE, this will fit you. PS my wife is a size 8, and it fits her fine too. You should have no problem.

Question:	Can you used this to cool down while hiking
Answer:	Check with TSA as they would probably know. Also check online with an airline that is specific to the country you are flying to. Example is British Airways which flies to the UK. If they don't allow them use a ziplock bag and get ice from the flight attendants. That's what I do.
Question:	I can't get it to activate. I have squeezed it together every which way, what am I doing wrong
Answer:	Probably not. These are chemical based packs that become cold, but not ice cold, the minute they're activated. (Crushed in bare hands and shook) They're mostly for portable, on the spot cooling for injuries and often used to cool down over-heated persons with quick easy application behind the neck, knees, etc. until real ice can be obtained. Also, they loose their chill in most cases within 30 minutes. They would work to cool down some candy bars or fruit but again....30 minutes and they're pretty well spent. My suggestion is "Freezer Blocks". They're reuseable, very efficient and long lasting in a decent cooler, inexpensive and come in a multitude of sizes. IF Amazon does not have what you want, check your local "W" store in the sporting goods/cooler area. Good luck!!
