Answer:	You cannot pan, but you can go up or down slightly. I believe the up and down is so you can see the full view, and my iPhone screen isn't big enough to see it at once. That being said, the lens captures a pretty large area. It's way better than any baby monitor size view. I leave it in my kitchen and can see the majority of my kitchen. Not just a small area. The only issue I have is with the motion activated notifications. Sometimes change in day light causes it to think there is motion. I just shut the text notifications off during the day. Overall, for the $70, well worth it. I want to buy a few more for my whole house.

However, I’d be careful because the app randomly shuts off in the middle of the night when wifi connection is weak. This has happened to us many times, which is why we had to get an additional monitor just for sound.

The operating range of the baby monitor is up to 160 feet (50 meters) indoors.
