Answer:	One is a logger style that has rivets around the waist for suspenders or chaps, the other does not. The material weight and durability is the same. I also believe one style is pre-washed to feel more broke in when you first wear them. I've bought both and prefer the style that doesn't have the rivets and isn't pre-washed.

Answer:	We use the oven as we always have with no problems at all. Opening the oven door does not affect them at all.
