We just took our 3 year old to a NASCAR race with the hearing protecting earmuffs from banz and she was actuallt able to take a short nap. I would highly recommend them. Noise protecting is More for reducing noises and would be better for sounds like chainsaws or hammering for example. The hearing protecting seem more padded but my daughter was able to still hear us talking to her when we were close.
