The wood was placed at the upper-middle side of the door opening and the gate is secured by pushing the handle down securing it in place with a pressure mount, as you know. It works really well. In the video it look like I was struggling to remove it and put it back into place but I have arthritis in my hands pretty bad and that’s why I was struggling. Question:	The opening I want to mount this in is 44in. Will this gate fit with the hardware or does it only extend to 42in
Answer:	With hardware you might be able to make it work but, I am not sure how well will it lock. I have placed wood board over drywall side of my opening to mount hardware to. If it is short you can add nice peace of trim to make if fit.
