Question:	Is this mattress waterproof, or do I need a cover
Answer:	It's water resistant but still a fabric. Our son still wets through his PJs on occasion and it hasn't seemed to wet the mattress, but it is fabric, not plastic like his old one. If you're expecting big messes, waterproof covering may be a good idea, but we didn't want him sleeping on plastic. So far so good on this, and it's sturdy and comfortable.

Answer:	Yes, innerspring mattresses work well with Angelcare, foam does not as foam absorbs movement. Since its a hybrid it may be muted depending how much baby weighs but the innerspring support helps. Overall it will work better when baby moves more, is more active. We hope this helps.
