Answer:	It is very warm in the winter if it is put on over one-piece pajamas. My daughter used this all winter long for my grandson by putting it over his regular nighttime pajamas. It kept him very warm and comfortable and safe!

Answer:	I started using mine for my daughter when she was newborn to catch spitup. We still use them now for spitup and drool and she is almost 7 months. Not sure if the will make the transition to solid food since I like something wipeable for that. They are very soft and easy to put on and off, so perfect for very small babies. :)
