Question:	Will this be appropriate for a 1 year old? Not sure if she could hold the pose long enough
Answer:	If you press firmly and hold it until she can't stand it ..you may get a faint mark of a hand. Agree that it's too dry and firm (although very light) to get a good print. I was personally disappointed with the results. I had to purchase self-drying clay (two different types at Walmart) before finding one that captured all the details of adorable little hands (I also did his feet).

Answer:	no. I used 1 kit to make a handprint for my 7 year old with a little plaster left over. There is not enough material for 2 larger handprints. You need a bowl or something to make the circle. The circle cutter included in the kit is not big enough for a 6 or 9 year old's hand. I didn't like the product much but everything else out there is similar. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Only one but I think there's enough plaster to redo it once if the first attempt doesn't work

Answer:	I don't think the quality would be very good. You wouldn't get all the cute wrinkles and creases. It is not a messy, stick to your hand clay. It is more like a moldable putty. There was no residue left on my newborn's hand, a quick rinse after was good enough. Very easy to use and NO MESS!!!

Answer:	I had the same problem. We used another brand the last two years with a different result and no complaints. It was discontinued and so we bought this. I requested a refund.

Answer:	Yes. The footprint was barely visible, so I got some soft multi-surface acrylic paint and painted the inside of the baby's foot and handprint only, leaving the rest white, much like the picture on the front of the tin.

Answer:	In a cardboard box that allows air to get in (not plastic coated), I assume. I have ornaments that my children made me MANY years ago when they were in school. I store them in the closet in a box with the other handmade ornaments. They still look the same as when they were first made but there is paint on one side also. If you live in an area that is damp I'd find someway in which to seal the ornament after it's totally cured and dry. I gave the kit as a gift for a shower and I really don't know what the directions suggest.

Answer:	I just left mine on the foil and placed it on a paper plate for extra suppprt and let it dry. I set it on top of fridge so it wouldn't get disturbed.

Answer:	About 12-18 months. Freezing it will actually prevent the loss of moisture allowing it to last even longer without affecting the clay.

Answer:	If you are doing just a hand print it will work for a 3 or 5 year old. Keep in mind this is hard clay not lightweight one.I would get lightweight one that way you can strach it more and make it thinner. They are more durable and you can hang them on a tree.These will break if you drop them but are more beautiful for display on shelfs.

Knead Clay

Knead clay well for 3-5 minutes this ensures the oils are evenly mixed. Don't put the clay down on any surface because it will pick up dirt and lint.

Fill and Smoothen Clay

Place the round clay ball into the large section of the picture frame. Use the palm of your hand and gently spread out the clay, make sure the clay fills up the entire space even the corners. Use the rolling pin or a mug and gently roll until the surface of the clay is evenly smooth. Make sure there are no minor cracks on the surface.

Handprint and Footprints

Press the baby's hands and feet gently but firmly into the clay and make sure to leave room for the Interior frame/divider. Use a pair of scissors to separate the letter pieces. Assemble the letters to the handle and engrave the baby's name and/or birth date in the clay.

Assembly and Display

Insert 2 cute pictures into the picture frame cut-outs, using the double-sided tape to secure them in place. Assembly the frame and display your baby’s itty-bitty hands and feet with the most adorable photos on the perfect spot that you desire.

Answer:	No there's no need to add any water the clay seems to be pretty wet once you take it out of the packaging due to the oils. You just have to knead it for about 5 minutes.

Answer:	I cut a 4X6 picture. Wallet size was too small

Product description

1.Prepare a neat, flat, hard work area



2.Before removing the package, please feel the softness of the clay with your hands

(Due to the variable temperatures, the clay may be hard, please soak the unopened clay with package in hot water at 60-80℃ for 5-10 minutes)



3.Make sure your hands are clean and dry before you start rubbing.

(Rub the clay for about 2 minutes, until the air bubbles in the clay are completely released and the clay becomes soft)



4.Place the clay on the workbench, preferably with the plastic film, and roll it back and forth with a small wooden stick

(According to the size of the background paper, roll the clay into the shape you like, taking care to control the thickness)



5.Make sure your baby's hands and feet are clean and dry before making

(Slowly and evenly press the baby's hand or foot onto the inkpad, and keep pressing for about 5 seconds. If you are not satisfied with the footprint, immediately repeat the above steps to start again)



6.After you've made your hand and footprints, use creativity to decorate your artwork!

(You can write name, date, blessing, etc. with our complimentary 3-piece kit; cut the clay to your favorite shape; get creative and make small decorations with extra clay; decorate with our accessories; or print colors on your hands and feet with gold paint)



7.Place the finished work in a well ventilated place for 6-12 hours and let it dry naturally

(Then turn the work around and continue to air dry for about 6-12 hours)



8.Stick 3M double-sided adhesive tape on the back of the work and paste it to the designated position

(Put the paper back into the frame and install the back panel)
