Answer:	No, they do not melt in the dishwasher. So far we’ve washed these utensils at least 50 times and have not seen any wear on them from the dishwasher. We put them with the utensil basket on the bottom rack.

You can't actually adjust the height to what you want, what there is is the seat and the grey part is an insert that adds about an inch and a half in height to the booster. If you only need 2 inches then you can just remove the grey insert and use the seat only.
