Answer:	Mostly, yes. If the straw is in, then liquid usually doesn’t spill out. If it’s just the silicone spout, then it depends on how full and how it lands.

Answer:	I bought this for our grandson who was a year old and weaning from breast and bottle to a cup. He learned how to suck from the straw within a couple of tries. I put the bottom of the straw into the liquid held my finger over the top of the straw and drew some liquid into the straw and put the bottom of the straw into the baby’s mouth and he automatically sucked on the straw. And got the liquid. After a few times of doing that we put water in his cup stuck the straw in and he was able to drink from the straw. Cup is sturdy, just right for little hands, and the straw is soft. They don’t have to suck to hard on straw.

If you put the lid on too tight it does cause pressure and it will leak they the straw. My kids used this cup the first time using a straw and they took to it easy. I have 3 cups per baby.

Answer:	I don’t believe so, but they do sell replacement straws, which is a huge plus to buying OXO brand vs. others, because most brands don’t offer replacement straws either. You usually end up having to buy a bunch of cups because the straws wear out. I order replacement straws at the same time I order a cup so I know I’ll be good for awhile!

Answer:	No, there is a stopper to keep the straw from being pulled out. It is a 2 piece straw: upper rubber/silicone piece and lower harder plastic straight piece.
