Answer:	The top straw does not come off, it is attached to the top portion of the cup. This part does come off of the cap so you are able to wash it. The straw inside the cup does separate from the top.

Answer:	There is no cover for the straw but they really don't leak as long as you have the parts all together correctly. These are the best as far as no leaks, but they seem pretty hard to suck to me, but my kids (ages 1,2, and 3) don't seem to have an issue with it. I've tried a lot of cups and these are my favorite.
Question:	Can the kid pull the straw out? And does it leak when upside down
Answer:	Sort of. This item is 4 pieces-- the cup, the screw-on plastic piece/lid, the rubbery plastic top with 1/2 the straw actually molded into the part, and the bottom half of the straw that fits into the bottom of the plastic top. The rubbery plastic top fits into the hard plastic screw-on lid, and while the top part of the straw cannot be pulled out, the entire rubbery piece can be removed by prying little fingers. It's kid of hard to explain without a photo, but the plastic rubbery part sort of looks like a cross between a straw and a baby bottle nipple. Except, instead of being secured with a strong enough tightening, this 'nipple' is designed to just sort of for snugly inside the screw-on cap, but can be pried loose and allow he contents to spill.My son could be left alone with these until he was 2.5 because he would constantly poke his finger between the rubbery top and plastic lid, breaking the seal and spilling his drink. My daughter has been using them since she turned 1 because she doesn't try to poke the top. It all depends on the kid. When used correctly, they are about 99% leak-free, but one inquisitive finger can lead to a huge mess. I do love them for holding water, especially on trips, because the bottles are a bit slimmer than others and fit well into cup holders and diaper bag pouches.

It gets mold between the cup and the band as well so I clean that once in a while. There are many parts to pay attention to. The same as other kids' cups...

Answer:	It may just be that the pieces aren't quite fitted snugly together. There are instructions for assembly when purchased that can help reassemble but incase you do not have these I can provide here. 1. Insert the connector into the inside of the spout. 2. Pull silicone spout through the bottom of the screw ring and secure. 3. After silicone spout is fitted into the screw ring, turn the product over and run a finger around the rim of the spout to ensure it is assembled properly. It should fit smoothly against the rim to prevent any leakage. 4. Push the silicone tube straw into the connector. 5. Connect the weight to the end of the tube straw. 6. Fasten straw spout assembly to the cup base.

It is not recommended to boil liquids in microwave as burns may result if cup is overheated. Always test temperature of liquid before feeding to baby.

Answer:	It does not leak. Just make sure it is screwed on toght. Also if the spout is up and baby is shaking it upside down you might get a drop or two out. Depending on what was left in the straw during the last sip.
