| Answer: | The hard drive was an M.2 2280 SATA SSD. however, I was able to install an M.2 2280 PCI NVMe drive into the computer and get it working. It was unstable (blue screens) until I got all the driver updates from DELL. It has been running smooth for over 6 months now without issues. NOTE: the PCI NVMe drive only has 2 lanes so I only get have the rated speed for the drive ~1500 Mb/s instead of 3000 however, it is still much faster then a SATA SSD at ~500 Mb/s or a traditional SATA HDD at around ~300 Mb/s. The RAM is DDR4-2400. |
