Answer:	The typical forehead temperature is between 97.5°F – 98.4°F . It is usually about 0.5°F below oral temperature.
Question:	My display shows “Lo”, is it low battery
Answer:	According to the user manual, the “Lo” means temperature is under the measuring range selected , not low battery. Low battery will be displayed with an empty battery icon. The “Lo” could be caused by measuring room or “air” temperature in “Body” mode. Room temperature of around 75°F is “Lo” as compared to human forehead temperature of between 97.5F°F - 98.4°F .

Downright dangerous if you trust the results. Fevers that read as normal and normal readings read febrile.

Answer:	You can check the water temperature with the forehead, room + bottle setting. We'd suggest testing the water temperature once a bit is in the tub, the flow from the faucet may interfere.

Answer:	The more you wash them, the more absorbent they become... so I am assuming that’s why they recommend to wash them that many times before use. But just wash them once and as you use them and wash them they’ll reach full absorbency

Answer:	Pop the silver tab to heat it up (it will turn liquid hard and hot). Boil in hot water for 10 mins to turn back to liquid and let cool before reusing.

Answer:	I'm not sure if it would pass flight guidelines. The pouch has a liquid in it but it doesn't pour out. When activated it turns to a solid until it has been reset.

FOREHEAD OR EAR

For forehead use, simply point 0.5 - 3 inches from the forehead and click to read the results in 1 second. For inner ear, remove the magnetic cover on the back to display the ear probe. For infants 1 year old or younger pull the ear back to straighten out the ear canal or the readings will come up low. For infants older than 1 year and adults, pull the ear up and back.

AUTO-OFF & MEMORY

life2O Infrared Thermometer has a unique battery saving feature and ability to recall the previous measurements. The system will turn itself off automatically 10 seconds after a measurement is made in order save batter life. Select the correct mode with the mode button on the front of the thermometer. You can see the selected mode from the icons on the LCD screen:

Probe Must Have Direct Line-of-Sight to the Ear Drum

Remove the back magnetic cover to display the ear probe. Unless it has a direct line-of-sight to the ear drum, only the inner canal temperature will be measured. Follow the figure on the left to have a direct line-of-sight to the ear drum.
